Q&A
Q. What inspired you to become a writer?
A. I've always wanted to be a writer, even since I was a little kid. When I was in elementary school, I read a book series where the main character was a young boy who was a writer. That introduced me to the idea that a writer doesn't have to be a late-middle-aged guy living in a cabin in the woods.

Q. How long have you been working on this book?
A. This is actually a difficult question to answer. I had the initial seeds of ideas for the Martyrion series back in 2015, but it was a very different story at the time. I actually completed this novel back in 2018, but was too self-conscious to try publishing it. I'm getting too old to be self-conscious, though (I'm almost thirty, after all), so here we are!
Q. Are you working on a sequel?
A. YES!! I'm getting pretty far along in the story. I will provide updates as the work progresses. I anticipate having it ready in Fall 2020.
Q. What do you want your audience to take away from your books?
A. That's up to you! Sort of. I agree with John Green that stories, once read, belong to the readers. I have some ideas of what I hope these books convey, but I'll leave it to you to decide what you take out of it. As long as you enjoy the ride, I'll be happy
Q. I hear your wife builds an awesome site. Is that true?
A. Yes. She built this one!
Q. What motivates you to write?
A. I am motivated by my love of creating stories that I would want to read.
Q. Where does your inspiration for your writing come from?
A. All over the place. Things I read, things I watch, or things I happen across in daily life. I spend a lot of time lost in thought, where I often happen across things that I'd like to put into writing.
